Tongue Eating Louse is a Doom/Sludge band from Ontario, Canada, formed in 2013 by Beau Jodoin (then Vocals, Drums) with John Wood (Vocals/Bass) and Rob Kinsella (Guitar). The band played shows around the Ottawa and Brockville areas until a short hiatus in 2014 when Rob moved to Newfoundland. A year later Beau would assume the role of guitars while adding a new member to drums, Nick Tooms. The trio would begin working on their debut self-titled EP, with Rob moving back to Ontario half way through production. Rob would rejoin the band making it the four piece it is today.

The band’s sound varies from post-hardcore infused sludge to blackened-grind atmospheres. The forthcoming album, “Voidwalker”, is a lush, meditative sludge metal opus with pounding, heavy drums giving way to dreamy, healing melodies. Tongue Eating Louse finds their inspiration from such bands as Lord Mantis, Abominable Iron Sloth, and Disembowelment.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
