Initially conceived to form the basis of a monthly compilation to coexist with The Sludgelord's monthly "Sour 16" feature. This compliation was delayed due to logical problems and the realisation that doing a monthly compilation would prove extremely time consuming and just too much work.

I am happy to present this one off compilation comprising of some of the best bands we have featured on the Sludgelord over the last twelve months and it is completely free. 18 tracks of varying intensity presented into one truly unique sonic mass. "Liberation Through Amplification"

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke

Have only listened to the first three tracks so far. Somehow the indie/grunge/funereal/doom elements meld together well. Well worth a listen! 😁 Update - couldn't stop listening. No weak tracks.
