Kielkropf similar to the English ("changeling") was founded in spring 2013. Fink (Rainer Fink) and Schmidi (Thomas Schmidt) had played together in metal bands for over 10 years. So when their last band broke up, they decided to slow things down incorporating elements of sludge and doom.

In January 2015 Kielkropf released "Life is Killing Me" as their first Video/Single, followed by the EP "Step Back I'm Bout to Dance". In the fall of 2017 the songs for an upcoming new EP were recorded and they would form the basis of "Ignorance Is Bliss", which will be released on July 6th 2018 via Sludgelord Records (SLR008)

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke

Have only listened to the first three tracks so far. Somehow the indie/grunge/funereal/doom elements meld together well. Well worth a listen! 😁 Update - couldn't stop listening. No weak tracks.
