about
Angular and riffy, superbly engaging and vicious, this hits in all the right places. It comes out swinging with a sonic hellscape dredged up from death metal's ugly underbelly, but mellows into melody as the album progresses. The album meanders through more varied moods and atmospheres than just the usual jarring dissonance of Gorgutsian obtuseness, which gives it a much richer palette and more replay value. If you told me that Dischordia shared members with Dysrhythmia I'd believe it without checking. Angular, dissonant constructions that give no fucks about human enjoyment. I need more.
